Founder of Winnipeg Body Sugaring Shop to Offer Inspirational Class for Junior High School Students
WINNIPEG, MB: Clairissa Cruz, the founder of Winnipeg’s award-winning Bare Body Sugaring, will be hosting a vision board class at a local junior high school at the end of January 2024. Also known as a dream board, a vision board is a collage of images that provides inspiration and affirmation for what a positive future could look like.
As a Filipina and Indigenous woman, Clairissa Cruz has faced and overcome many challenges and obstacles in her life to achieve her dream of creating a successful sugaring business. With very little money and humble beginnings, she brought Bare Body Sugaring to life – a company that now has 4 locations and a team of more than 30 people with a distribution network that spans across Canada. Clairissa has travelled North America to take master sugaring classes, spoken to thousands of youth at WE Day, and won multiple awards as a female entrepreneur. She sees Bare as a catalyst for change in the beauty industry and is dedicated to a philosophy of self-love for people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, and body types.
Cruz knows that her strong vision for the future has been instrumental in helping her achieve her dreams, so when she was invited to offer a vision board class at a local junior high school, she immediately accepted the invitation.
“I am looking forward to sharing the power of visioning for the future with young people who may be facing obstacles just like I did,” she said. “I am proud to have the opportunity to be a role model for them and hope to help them see that building a dream and making it come true can be a reality, even though it’s not always easy.”
She also adds that community involvement is a foundational element of Bare Body Sugaring and that she hopes to have the opportunity to offer more classes and workshops at local venues in the future. She is currently compiling images and supplies for her upcoming class to make it a meaningful and standout experience for participants.
